Article last updated 4 November 2025.

While those of us in the industry have quickly immersed ourselves in the new rules, we recognise that navigating the sustainable investment marketplace can still feel like a daunting prospect for many individual investors.

It is for this reason that we partnered with the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association (UKSIF) to publish a new guide  to help retail investors understand SDR and feel more confident in making informed choices about their investment decisions.

Released during UKSIF’s Good Money Week, the publication; A Consumer Guide to Sustainable Investment Funds – explains what SDR rules mean in practice, from marketing and disclosure standards to the differences between the four SDR labels now appearing on UK funds.

The guide offers practical tips to help investors interpret sustainability objectives, assess fund holdings and review engagement reporting, enabling them to see how their capital is driving real-world change.

Explore the guide to understand how the new rules work and how they can help you make informed choices that reflect your values.
