Laura MacRae joined the Greenbank team as a Trainee Investment Manager in 2023, bringing with her early career experience from the banking sector, having previously worked at Handelsbanken in Exeter.

She holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics and Geography from the University of Birmingham, graduating in 2021. Laura is currently working towards the CISI Level 4 Investment Advice Diploma as part of her professional development.

Carolyn is a Senior Investment Analyst for equity investments at Greenbank. She joined Greenbank in June 2024 and has over twenty years’ experience as both an equity analyst and an ESG analyst. She worked for blue-chip banks including Cazenove, Citigroup, UBS, and Deutsche Bank, before switching focus to Sustainable Investments. She then joined Newton Investment Management as an ESG analyst, before moving to join the sustainable investment team at T Rowe Price. Carolyn holds an MA (Cantab) in Economics from Cambridge University, and the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing.

Lauren joined Greenbank in 2024 as an Ethical, Sustainable, and Impact Researcher. She is responsible for evaluating investments against a comprehensive range of environmental, social, and governance criteria, and conducting in-depth thematic research on emerging responsible investment issues. She has a strong background in environmental research, climate policy, and sustainability consulting, having worked at PwC and an economic consultancy firm. Lauren holds a B.A. (Mod) in Economics and Social Studies from Trinity College Dublin and an MSc in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Bogdan Pop joined Greenbank in January 2023 and is a portfolio manager. He holds a BSc in Management with Banking and Finance from Bangor University and an MSc in Insurance and Risk Management from Bayes Business School. Bogdan started his career on a Business Leaders Graduate Programme at AXA Wealth and went on to become an Investment Analyst at Saunderson House before joining Greenbank. He is a CFA Charterholder and has also obtained the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC).

David previously worked at Brunel Pension Partnership, where he was Deputy CIO and spearheaded the setup and management of public market investments and strategies worth c.£30 billion. He has led award-winning initiatives in sustainable and environmental investing across asset classes and holds the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation, specialising in alternative asset classes and portfolio and index construction.

David joined Greenbank in 2023 and has over 20 years’ of experience working in the financial services industry. Laura Hobbs, Investment Director has 15 years’ experience in financial services, with over a decade working with not for profit clients. Laura joined Rathbones as an Investment Director within the specialist Greenbank team in 2022 where she is dedicated to advising and managing investments for charity clients.

Previously Laura held positions at Brunel Pension Partnership, where she was Responsible Investment Manager for £40bn of public and private assets and at CCLA, where she was Deputy Head of Ethical and Responsible Investment. Laura started her career as an energy sector analyst and trained as a portfolio manager at Barclays Wealth.

She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, has the CFA Certificate in ESG Investment and has both an Undergraduate Honours Degree and Master’s Degree in Geographical Sciences from the University of Bristol. Laura also sits on the investment committee of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) as an independent sustainable investment advisor.

He began his career at PwC where he spent 3 years in Financial Assurance and another 3 years in ESG Assurance.
