This year, Greenbank are celebrating a 15 year partnership with The Funding Network (TFN) that has so far helped raise over £1.2 million for 141 non-profit organisations across 34 events. To celebrate, we hosted TFN’s 2023 Summer Connector event on 20 June at our London office in Finsbury Circus.

The Funding Network is an open network which links potential donors to charitable causes and social entrepreneurs through live crowdfunding. They aim to raise money for small non-profits driving social change and help both individuals and businesses to combine their giving with others to make a bigger impact.

“Greenbank and TFN are complimentary in our vision and purpose – we both seek to create positive impact through the thoughtful use of capital.”

John David, Head of Rathbone Greenbank

Greenbank is proud to be TFN’s longest-standing corporate member. Our partnership with The Funding Network started in December 2008 when we hosted our first event together in London.

In his introduction to the Summer Connector John David, Head of Rathbone Greenbank said, “Greenbank and TFN are complimentary in our vision and purpose – we both seek to create positive impact through the thoughtful use of capital – TFN through philanthropy and Greenbank through investment.”

The Summer Connector helped to raise an impressive £60,700 for three brilliant small charities, Artistic Spectrum, Give a Book, and Greener and Cleaner.

The Summer Connector helped to raise an impressive £60,700 for three brilliant small charities, Artistic Spectrum, Give a Book, and Greener and Cleaner, meaning that crowdfunding for all three charities exceeded their £10,000 targets.

These donations will help empower environmental action across South London, fund reading groups for prisoners and their families, and support therapeutic art workshops for those living with autism spectrum disorders in the North East.

Greenbank would like to thank the TFN team along with all their generous guests for another exciting evening of crowd-funding.

Understanding Climate Tipping Points: Why Investors Should Pay Attention

The AMOC, one of the planet’s key climate engines, is showing signs of slowing. Even without a full collapse, a shift could mean sharper storms, rising seas and sudden changes to the systems we depend on for food, water and energy. Understanding this risk now matters more than ever, because the impacts won’t wait until tomorrow.

A just transition in the UK food system

The future of the UK food system is at a pivotal moment. Shifting consumer needs, environmental pressures, and evolving policy expectations are creating a landscape where change is not just imminent, but unavoidable. Against this backdrop, the Laudes Foundation recently convened a diverse group of stakeholders to examine how the sector can navigate this transition in a way that is fair, inclusive, and grounded in long‑term resilience.
